Kontakt 4+
This FREE sample library was originally created in April of 2004 in conjunction with the release of the Hammered Dulcimer Trilogy. Since then - Bo Clausen has generously updated this instrument with Kontakt scripting that takes this instrument to a whole new level again in Version 3. Make sure Kontakt 4 is updated at least to version 4.2.4 or higher! If you already have downloaded version 2, you still need to download the entire V3 package due to a change in the sample file format.
You will find 2 manuals in the download package - one being the version 2 manual and another manual called What's new in Music Maker 3. Be sure to read these, especially the What's new manual. Otherwise you will be missing out on a great deal of sonic sculpting tools as well as bulit in presets below the surface of the Kontakt 4 front panel.
The Music Maker is a dulcimer designed as a child's toy musical instrument. It is supplied with a guitar pick and some sheets that slide underneath the string telling you which strings to pluck from left to right. Featuring such hits as "Darling Clementine and Aura Lee etc ....
Music Maker V3 features -
1. Each Layer can now be Panned and Spread independently (on the Layer Page). Also each column - Vol/Tune/Pan/Spread can be reset independently.
2. On the Location Page, a new Ping – Pong Pan effect knob is added.
3. It's now possible to save and load all the six Presets, in the various Preset dropdown menus, as an external/independent file.
4. The EQ now has a simple/advanced option. In the simple mood it's a Bass - Middle - Treble EQ.
5. A Delay is added to the Effect Panel. It can either be Time based or Sync based.
6. The Space/Convolution now has 18 different IR's that can be loaded into the conv-plugin. Thanks to the new Resources folder in Kontakt 4.2.4 there is no more problems when you want to change a IR, after you've loaded a saved project in your DAW.
